The Benson First Response was formed in 1984 to provide emergency medical care in Benson to anyone in need. The First Response members respond to all medical and trauma calls at the same time that an ambulance is being called. They also provide standby at fire scenes and perform firefighter rehab. The First Response also holds two fundraisers each year:

  • The annual Rabies clinic in March is held at the Fire Department and First Response building in town and gives area residents the chance to get their dogs and cats vaccinated without having to leave town. The Town Clerk is also available that day to register dogs.
  • The annual Craft Sale in November is held at the Benson Village School. This has become a very popular event with more than 20 vendors selling a variety of quality handmade crafts, paintings, jewelry, and more.

A reminder to residents of all towns - it is very important that you have your 9-1-1 house number signs posted and kept clear of snow in the winter. Please help us to better help you when you need us. Every second counts!! Call the Town Clerk today to pick up your house sign.
